Who Needs the Drive Thru?

With a well-planned, well-stocked kitchen, you can make these meals in the time it would take you to go to the fast food drive-thru.

One of the greatest challenges my clients face is time. Having enough time to satisfy all of their work and family responsibilities, have time for fitness activities and still have enough time to make healthy meals at home.

How about we learn to do all of these things and do it while not getting completely stressed out…and still have time to have a lot of FUN!

That’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout!

I’m putting the cart before the horse a little here, but it’s only because we have already covered some of the essential aspects of planning and setting yourself up for success.

Next week I’ll take you a step further by discussing some of the essential items you’ll want to have in your freezer, refrigerator and pantry to be able to pull off these meals without having to run out to the store every time you see a great, healthy recipe from one of my posts. Or if you are the creative type, you’ll be able to simply look at what you have on hand and come up with something healthy and delicious.

I reviewed all of the recipes at the link below and just about all are fabulous for solving, “How do I make something quick, delicious and will keep me on track with my fitness and weight-loss goals.”

Personally, I would substitute cod for tilapia in the tilapia recipes. Also, I generally don’t use traditional flour-based pasta anymore. I use Bonza, Barilla Red Lentil or Modern Table pastas almost exclusively. These brands use chick peas, red lentils, cauliflower, peas and rice instead of flour. They are higher in protein and fiber and don’t have the adverse glycemic effects normal pastas will have on your body.

Again, next week, we’ll stock up your kitchen, so at a moment’s notice you’ll be ready to cook up some quick and healthy fare for you and your clan.

Check out the links to the quick and healthy recipes on the button below. You’ll elevate your likelihood of success with your nutritional goals exponentially!
